Volvo C30

The Volvo C30 is a small family hatchback with the styling of a coupe and 14 different versions available.

There is a range of petrol and diesel engines including a DRIVe model with a start/stop system.

The latest Volvo C30 has a Sports chassis available plus a larger iron mark in the front grille.

There are five power units made up of three petrol and two diesel with four and five-cylinder units ranging from 100PS 1.6-litre and 109PS 1.6D DRIVe engine to the 230PS T5.

The 1.6D DRIVe engine is available with start/stop technology that has carbon dioxide emissions of 99 g/km.

There are four levels of trim on the Volvo C30 - S, SE, SE Lux and R-DESIGN.

An optional Sports chassis is a standard feature on R-DESIGN models.

The Volvo C30 has four individual seats. The rear seats are mounted towards the centre-line of the car.

The Volvo C30 has an all-glass tailgate and a load cover.

The petrol engine range on the Volvo C30 includes a 100PS 1.6-litre, 145PS 2.0-litre and a five-cylinder T5 model generating 230PS that gets from 0-60mph in just over six seconds.

The two oil burners include the 109PS 1.6D DRIVe engine and 136PS 2.0D.

Models with the 1.6D engine have carbon dioxide emissions below 120g/km and are marked with the DRIVe emblem. Start/Stop technology is also available on the 1.6D DRIVe giving a carbon dioxide emission figure of 99 g/km and fuel economy of up to 74.3 mpg.

The Volvo C30 has safety innovations such as curtain airbags to protect both front and rear passenger.

Other safety equipment includes safety belt tensioners, a whiplash protection system and a side impact protection system, plus airbags and an inflatable curtain.

Every Volvo C30 has dynamic stability and traction control plus anti-lock brakes with electronic brake distribution and electronic brake assistance.

The Volvo C30 has a two-door style. The front of the car has angled lines for the front bumper together with the headlights angled upwards and towards the flanks of the car.

The nose of the Volvo C30 has a grille that sits a larger iron mark. The air intake of the car has also been enlarged and the grille also has a honeycomb pattern.

Other exterior features on the Volvo C30 include the introduction of a vibrant Orange Flame Metallic colour and the Lime Grass Green Metallic.

The Volvo C30 is available with 17-inch white alloy wheels called Styx White which  is available as standard on the SE trim level.

The rear of the Volvo C30 also has the same deep styling lines and detailing. The black lower trim has been reduced enabling the body colour to be extended lower.

The Volvo C30 S has a black plastic lower body panel. When you choose SE or SE Lux, the lower trim is available in black sapphire or, in a contrasting colour.

The used Volvo C30 has a contrast colour collection including Blackcurrant, Java or Shadow Blue.

The Volvo C30 is available with an accessory styling kit containing foglamp decor, side scuff plates and a front and rear skidplate.
